Alight uses market-leading research insights to create cloud applications (Health/Wealth), connecting all sides of work (HR) and life (Benefits) for the enterprise workforce.
Through Creative Circle, I joined as design producer to support team projects at Alight with workshop exercises, design workflows, and interactive prototypes from Dec 2020 to Sep 2021.
Several Alight colleagues and I were chosen to ideate ways of increasing user engagement within Microsoft Teams through remote workshops and UX mapping from May to Aug 2021.
We formed a small cross-functional group within Alight to ideate solutions together in Miro, and design interactive prototypes in Figma to help gain MVP funding by the end of Q3 2021.
Rafael (design director) lead ideation workshops, helping the team learn about existing products that could help increase engagement for Microsoft (Alight’s Worklife platform, health provider portal, and Lisa chatbot).
After surveying 200+ UserZoom respondents, Miranda (research ops) noted that enterprise employees saw potential in the Lisa chatbot managing workday tasks within Microsoft Teams to increase engagement.
I used the Diamond model to show design deliverables we created for enterprise workers using Microsoft Teams to complete workday tasks with Alight Lisa at different project stages.
Together we created scenario maps to show how enterprise managers like Sharon currently handle pending tasks during her first week on the job with existing digital solutions.
We mapped customer journeys to show the difficult path Sharon faces trying to update staff directories, and employee payroll without the help of Alight Lisa.
Together we created user task flows to visualize a future state where Lisa manages workday tasks natively within Microsoft Teams for Sharon (process payroll, create directories, and approve contracts).
Alongside katie (content writer), I converted Ibrahim's (engineer/director) wireflows into Figma prototypes, showing how Lisa helps managers extend employee contracts natively through Microsoft Teams chat.
From element states to micro-interactions, I've worked with research to test design concepts for touchpoints that could help users access Lisa faster within Alight's Worklife application.
Alongside team lightning, I helped present our PowerPoint business case and Figma prototypes to 300+ colleagues/clients through video presentations during Q3 pitch meetings in August 2021.
Team lightning gained funding by September 2021 (end of my contract with Alight) to test a functional MVP during Q4 with clients, and launch the new Lisa chatbot/Worklife platform in Q1 of 2022.
